Process

STEP ONE: The first thing you will need to do in your group is decide which
expert each person will become through research. Make sure you look over the
description of each of the roles and the requirements for each before
choosing which expert to be.

STEP TWO: When you know which expert you will become, begin researching about
the different aspects of the topic. Web links are provided for each of you
to become an expert on your chosen topic. Make sure you have all the answers
to the questions that have been provided because they will be turned in for a
research grade.

STEP THREE: Each group member will identify and list the ten most important
aspects to share with the group from the information he or she gathered.

STEP FOUR: Once everyone has completed steps one through three, the group
should meet and share what they learned. It is the responsibility of each
student to share their knowledge with the rest of the group and help others
understand what was presented.

STEP FIVE: Out of the top ten most important aspects, the group as a whole
should determine the top five aspects they think are the most important to
include in the presentation. Rank them from #1 (being the most important) to
#5 (being the least important out of the 5).

STEP SIX: This step is for creating your own powerpoint slides that will be
used in the groups presentation. Each student should create one slide for
each of the top five topics meaning each student will create a total of five
slides. Pictures can be added from clip art to spice up the presentation and
make it interesting to the audience at the Health Fair. Remember to use
colors that can be easily read and to have someone proofread your slides
before the presentation.

STEP SEVEN: After the powerpoint presentation is finished the group will
make a list of seven of their favorite recipes that the Food/Recipe person
compiled. These are to be turned into the teacher. The teacher will then
assign each Food/Recipe Expert a recipe to prepare at home and bring into
class on the day of the Health Fair.
