Ms. Cooper, Anne Frank and the Holocaust

Top Divider

Introduction

Many of you already know the story of Anne Frank, a teenaged girl who went
into hiding during the Holocaust. However, the Frank family was only one of
many families who went into hiding during this time period to avoid
persecution and death at the hands of the Nazi Party who made it their goal
to exterminate all Jews. While Anne Frank’s story is only one of many like
it, it is important because it gives us a first-person account of the
horrors committed during Hitler’s Reign.

During this unit there will be many activities to help us dig deeper into
the Holocaust, Anne Frank, and our own encounters with bias. The essential
question that each of us should strive to answer is: Could the Holocaust
happen again?
