| Your task for this unit will be to examine your own life and culture
through creating a Cultural ABC picture book.
Each page will have a letter (A-Z), a brief paragraph or poem explaining
how that letter fits into your own personal culture, and a picture
describing that aspect of your culture.
For example: A is for AMERICAN. The reason that I feel American is
because this is where I grew up and where all of my family is. Many of the
customs I practice are American, such as eating hot dogs and drinking coffee
in the morning. I feel that being American is an important part of who I am.
Or: S is for SISTER. One of the most important people in my life is my
little sister, Molly. She is sixteen, and I am teaching her how to drive.
She babysits for me and tells me about her life, and we are both friends and
sisters.
