Introduction

Why do we study Judicial Review?
1. The system of checks and balances is the regulatory device in limiting the powers of each branch of the federal government.

Questions to ask yourself... a. Is Judicial Review a way to check the power of the Judicial branch, while upholding the principles outlined in the United States Constitution?
b. Do you believe that by establishing the principle of Judicial Review, the Supreme Court secured for itself the role of chief interpreter? Why or why not?
