The Revolutionary War created by Miss Regan

Process

Your final project will consist of creating a newspaper that includes
articles, editorials, and advertisements to support your views of the
Revolution.

How do I do this? GOOD QUESTION!

Step One: Visit the sites listed on the resources page to help make your
decision – Am I a Patriot or a Loyalist? You can also use resources from
class discussions and lessons.

Step Two: Use what you have researched to write a letter to a relative who
still lives in England (Remember you are a colonist in 1775). In this
letter, explain your point of view on the Revolution. Use specific details
and reasons from your findings.

Step Three: Your commander-in-chief (better known as your teacher) will
group you according to your beliefs. This will be your newspaper staff.

Step Four: Create your newspaper with your staff.
       a. Decide on a catchy name to support your views.
       b. Decide what role each staff member will be responsible for:
articles, editorials, advertisements.
       c. Before going to press, be sure your newspaper supports only your
views (loyalist or patriot)!

Step Five: Research well, choose sides carefully, and have fun – your
country is depending on you!
