Description
Your group will do a presentation on the Sacrament of Baptism. The research
will include online and written sources (primary and secondary) and two
interviews. You must interview (by e-mail, phone, or video conference) two
(2) people who have been baptized in the Catholic Church, asking them
questions about their baptism (or the baptism of their children) as well as
their understanding of the sacrament. You will be turning in your interview
questions with your report. In the bibliography you must site the dates,
times, and names of the people interviewed.
The presentation must include the following:
- the history of Baptism
- an overview of the baptism rituals and symbols, including the role of
parents and Godparents
- the theology of infant, child, and adult baptism, including RCIA and
RCIC
- the results of the interviews
- your own experience of baptism (Catholic or other if applicable)
