Scout and Jem

Jem Finch and Scout Finch

Scout and Jem were the children of Atticus Finch. Scout(Jean Lewis Finch)
was six year old when the story began. She wore overalls and jeans instead
of dresses. She loved to sit on her fathers lap while he read the newspaper
and/or books. She was very smart and courageous. She is kind-hearted and
learned the importance of doing what is right. Scout is also the narrator
of the story.

Jem (Jeremy Finch)was Scouts older brother. He looked after Scout
constantly. He would take the blame for whatever she did wrong, and he was
very wise and very emotional. He looked up to Atticus and always sought his
approval.

You have assumed the role of Jem and Scout. You must describe what life was
like for two children raised by a single father in the Deep South in the
1930's. You must also include the education you received and what schools
were like during this time period. Be sure to describe your personality and
games you played to keep yourself busy and entertained.
