One of the most important aspects of the Day of the Dead are the altars for
the passed members of the family. As a group, you are to construct an altar
for a real or made up person containing the necesary objects found in a
traditional Day of the Dead altar. Each role will create what they have
studied and then the group will put it together to celebrate the life of the
dead person. Therefore, one person will create an altar, another will adorn
it with crafts and flowers, while the last will provide bread, food, or
drink. The group will present their altar to the class and they will need
to be able to explain the reason for putting certain items on the altar. Be
creative yet accurate to the Mexican holiday!
