The state has received some exciting news! Georgia has been awarded a special
grant to help protect and preserve some of our beautiful natural resources.
You and your group are park rangers at the state park in your area and have an
opportunity to receive these extra funds. Your mission is to research and
collect data on your region. This data should include information about the
natural environment, wildlife in your area, plants, and any bodies of water.
What makes your area special? What needs to be done to protect it for future
generations? What would happen if it is not protected? Remember, there are
other park rangers from different regions competing for the same funds. You
will need to be able to present your findings to the whole group to determine
where this special grant will go.
