Activities #3

Patterns & Sorting

The following links will allow you to correctly construct and repeat patterns
using a model, and correctly sort objects by color, size or shape. You will
also find activities that will allow you to look for objects that are alike
and different.

Internet Links

Look at each picture and identify how they are different from each other.

Click on the friend that doesn't belong. Identify which friend is different?

I like to wear necklaces. Use the like below to construct pattern necklaces
using a model. Please choose the red level 1 bead to begin.

Sometimes we need to sort objects. Sorting means to put all items that are alike
together in a group. Use the link below to help Flo & Zo sort objects by color.

Patterns all around!

You can find patterns all around you. Look around your house and identify
patterns like the ones you created using the necklaces. Remember what they
look like? An example is red, blue, red, blue. See what you can find and draw
them on a piece of paper using your crayons.
