Step 1: Research each of the early explorers using the web links provided.
Step 2:Fill out the chart for each explorer as you research them. Make sure to include: name, dates,
purpose & sponsor, background, trips, achievements & if you feel they were successful.
Step 3: Check do you have all the information for all the early explorers? If you don't make sure you
checked all the included websites & tried the search engine.

Step 4: Research & complete the chart for the later explorers.
Step 5: Check your chart with a partner & a teacher.
Go on to step 6...
Step 6: Talk with a partner & decide who will be your MVE.
Step 7: Save at least 2 pictures to your file.

Step 8: Record the website address where you found your pictures.
Step 9: Create your powerpoint presentation.
You must insert all text and source information first & then get teacher approval
before you add backgrounds & effects.
Step 10: Make sure you include your sources for information & picture in the notes section of your
powerpoint.
Step 11: Add any additional photos, graphics, backgrounds, animation, etc.
Step 12: Present your project.
