Tourism Geographer

1.� Using a map of your region given to you by the editor, you are to plan a 
7 day itinerary that will provide a potential tourist with an exciting view 
of the best your region has to offer.� You will need to confer with the 
other members of your team to determine the most important geographical and 
cultural sites that a prospective visitor would not want to miss.� The 
itinerary must be planned such that movement through the region is in an 
orderly fashion (e.g. east to west, west to east, north to south or south to 
north) such that the traveler is not skipping around and wasting fuel.� Be 
sure to inlclude� a) information on each site and why it was chosen for your 
itinerary b)what forms of transportation are available c)great restaurants 
to eat at d)hotels to stay in and e) some exciting pictures to entice our 
readers.� It would also be helpful to consider that many of our readers have 
families and may be taking children along.
2.� You are to create a full page advertisement that uses either the 
glittering generalities, bandwagon, or testimonial approach to advertize 
your specific region.� Be sure to include at least 4 imported pictures in 
your ad, in order to receive the highest score on the rubric.
3.� You are to write a 5 paragraph essay explaining 3 reasons a visitor 
should choose your region to visit.
4.� You will write a narrative (fictional story) that takes place in your 
specific region.� You will need to include at least 4 accurate descriptors
(e.g. cities, landscape or geographical features such as mountains, rivers, 
etc., or cultural aspects) of your region in order to score a 4 on the 
rubric.
