Role 2: Counselor

Role Description

As the counselor you will need to face the problem of cyberbullying in order 
to address your students' personal, social and emotional needs.  To help you 
do this, research the effects of cyberbullying on today's youth and find 
information on what we can do to stop this epidemic of hostility.

You may use the following websites for your research. If you find a
site that is not listed below, please get it approved before using it.

Make sure to cite your references in your notes and make a bibliography with 
exact URLs.

Some Questions to Consider:
What are the negative effects of cyberbullying?
What are some characteristics of cyberbullies and victims?  
Why is the problem of cyberbullying so pervasive? (In other words, why do so 
many teens use this method of bullying?)
What are some preventative measures we can take to stop cyberbullying?
Where do students seek help if they fall prey to cyberbullying?
How can students effectively resolve conflicts?
