| In the year 1970, thousands of miles from the United States, a war rages
between the communist controlled Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the US
supported Republic of Vietnam. Our class has been asked by the General
Assembly of the United Nations to create an unbiased and historically
accurate presentation about the major events of what has become known as the
Vietnam War.
The United Nations has asked that this presentation, which will be presented
to the General Assembly of the UN, address five important phases of the
conflict as well as the effect that it has had on American society. The
phases that the UN have asked that your team research and discuss in your
presentation include: The War Begins, The Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Johnson
Years, A Conflict Becomes A War, The War’s End, and the Aftermath.
