In your group, you are to research one of four countries and their
perspective on World War II. Each group will either research Japan, Germany,
Russia, or the United States. You should look at the leader of your
respective country and try to determine how he viewed his country’s position
prior, during, and after the war. As you read the various articles and
papers, think about how the countries may have differed in their perspectives
and how valid you may feel your country’s perspectives are. Each group should
collaborate and discuss their finding and feelings about what they found and
prepare a paper describing the country’s reason for participating in the war.
The conclusion of this activity will be a presentation for the class that
reflects you findings.
