The class with be broken into five groups. Each group is to research their
particular role and come up with arguments for or against women’s suffrage
depending on who you are suppose to be. The class will then come together
after about a week of researching and we will hold a mock Senate hearing so
both sides can debate it out about whether or not women should be given the
vote. It will be up to the Senate members to decide which argument was the
most persuasive and then decide if the 19th amendment should be passed into
law. As the teacher, I will be the supervisor of this activity so it is
important to thoroughly research and prepare your arguments before hand
since I will be giving out the final grades for this project.
