Evaluation

Students will be evaluated based on the following criteria.

* There will be a total of thirty points possible.

* Students can earn a maximum of fifteen points for their choice of poster.
It should fit the ideal description of a propaganda image which "rallies
support for the war" in one of the three ways listed on the task page.

* Students can earn a maximum of fifteen points for their explanatory
paragraph. Points will be determined on how well the paragraph would
convince the student's (imaginary) boss of the image's power to persuade
Americans, Germans, or Britains to support the war. The paragraph should use
parts of the propaganda image to support their decision - pointing out how
shading, coloring, and the organization of several different parts of the
poster accomplish specific persuasive tasks, psychologically, on the mind of
the intended viewer.

The paragraph should reflect a thorough analysis of the links and of the
chosen image. It should also reflect the idea that the image was chosen only
after long deliberation of consequences and effects it will have on
subscribers of the newspaper.
