Ulrich Graf von Brockdorff-Rantzau represents a divided Germany. The Kaiser is gone and the new government is unstable. Von Brockdorff Rantzau�s goal is to keep Germany in tact and to try to come to the softest terms as possible. Remember that the German armies at the armistice have yet to retreat fully into German territory. The navy is gone but there is a still a spirit of defiance in the country and a refusal to accept blame for the war. Will you reject all the terms of the Allies and resume war and risk the dismantling of Germany? Will you seek to divide the Allies by accepting the moderate view of the Americans?
