Evaluation

            Evaluation/Rubric 
 
 Each member of your group will be given an individual grade and a group 
grade. You will be graded individually on your personal contribution; 
article, letter/journal, speech, and political cartoon. You will also be 
given a group grade based on the presentation of the materials in class.


EXPECTATIONS & SCORING RUBRIC:

*Written Documents (article, letter/journal, speech ) must contain:

1) Three outside sources relevant to their assigned stance (shown on works 
cited page).

SCORING:15 POINTS (10 for 3 sources and 5 for works cited page). The outside 
source must be plausible for your specific role.

2) Introduction and conclusion paragraphs, supported by at least 
THREE (3) specific points. (It should be bewteen 2-3 paragraphs for each 
journal entry or letter, and 2-3 paragraphs for speech).

SCORING: 20 POINTS. This is the body of the statement. It should be 
clear and be between 3-5 paragraphs.

3) The document should have very few spelling mistakes.

SCORING: 15 POINTS. One point marked off for every spelling mistake.


*Political Cartoon 

1.) Must find two examples of political cartoons written in this time period
put examples on posterboard along with one original cartoon written by   
presenter. SCORING:15 POINTS (10 for 2 cartoons with sources and 5 for works 
cited page).

2.) Must create original political cartoon based upon ideas and issues 
surrounding World War I. SCORING: 45 POINTS (25 for addressing WWI issue, 20 
creativity and drawing).


*Group Presentation must:

1)Have visual aid showing the written documents created by each group.

SCORING: 25 Points.

2) Each person gives a report on their aspect of the war and how it 
affected "them".

SCORING: 50 POINTS. Points will be based on the strength and clarity of your 
presenation. 50 pts=excellent, 40-30= alright quality of presentation but 
not enough information, 30-20= lacking in both amount of information and 
method of presentation. Under 20= lacking effort, important ideas and 
concepts.
