The Reporter

It is the responsibility of the reporter to cover the cultural impact of the 
war: specifically, its effect on poetry, art and music produced during 
wartime. The other members of the group may provide creative input, but the 
reporter will be held accountable for the actual two page newspaper article 
critiquing the works produced

1918, there were festivities all over the world. Pictures of celebrating 
masses are abundant. But the millions who had lost loved ones, or who were 
crippled forever, had little reason to feast. The widows, the orphans, the 
disabled soldiers, they faced a devastated world, poverty and a future 
without hope. This site shows art work dedicated to those who were lost.

artists to be sent to France was proposed by the Committee on Public 
Information, which had been recently organized to coordinate propaganda for 
the war effort. This site shows that artistic depictions of the war that
