You will have two days in which to develop your proposal. On the third day
you will present it.
Day 1:
On the first day you will begin to research your civilization and assign
roles to your group members. If you go to the computers first, each group
member should read the introduction to the civilization. If you are at the
tables first the introduction will be on the table and you do not need to
read it while you are on the computer. Today you will collect your
information. If you are an historian or a geographer, this may be the only
day that you will be on the computer, so you will need to work quickly.
While you are at the tables you must be planning and sketching ideas as to
how the poster and powerpoints will be organized.
Day 2: The director and the art collector will be sharing a computer today
while creating the powerpoint. The powerpoint must have a minmum of eight
slides - one title page, six picture pages with captions desciribing what
the picture is of, and a source or bibliography page.
The geographer and the historian will be mostly at the tables today,
creating the poster. The poster should have the name of the civilization, a
picture of the map, bulleted lists of important geographical information,
and bulleted lists of important historical and cultural information. The
summary should be taped to the back of the poster.
The last ten minutes of class may be used for deciding how the presentation
will be given.
